How pickup works
When you donate your classic car to PrairieAuto Gifts, we aim to make the pickup process as seamless as possible. Ideally, we prefer using an enclosed-transport trailer for higher-value donations to protect your car during transit. Our team will coordinate with you to arrange a pickup time that works for you, ensuring we handle all logistics. If your vehicle is not operational, we can arrange for flatbed transport or coordinate with a local storage lot. We'll also assist with VIN verification and documentation gathering to streamline the process.
What drives donation value
The value of your classic car donation can be influenced by several key factors. Generally, vehicles boasting documented provenance, original drivetrain components, and matching-numbers distinction command higher appraisals. Cars in excellent condition with minimal wear, as well as those with desirable period-correct features, typically appreciate in value. Additionally, appraisal documentation (IRS Form 8283 Section B) by a qualified appraiser will be necessary for your tax deduction, so ensuring your car is well-documented will maximize its value for you and help our mission.
